WWC Corey Maier 06.25.18


Corey Maier, SD, won the bull riding and beautiful star quilt for the 8th Annual Adrian Foote Memorial PRCA Rodeo. The Foote family generously provided the coveted prize for each event in addition to top prize money and the best bucking horses and bulls around for the event hosted on the Ft Berthhold Indian Reservation in New Town, North Dakota. Corey visits about his career and victory in the land of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara.

WWC Autumn Charges 06.18.18


Apsáalooke / Crow Nations Autumn Charges Strong of Montana, whom is a very talented horse racing jockey, is our guest on Word With A Champ. The Montana lady has dominated the Horse Nations Indian Relay Council Maidens Races the last four years. Autumn is soft spoken and defines the word lady, one that will take your money riding the horses that are hauled for her from Wyoming’s Wind River Indian Reservation. We are blessed to have her in our sport and on our show.

Carol Murray of the Blackfeet Nation from Browning, Montana is our guest this week on Word With A Champ, for Native Voice One Radio Network. The Horse Nations Indian Relay Council chose wisely selecting Carol as their Vice President, Mrs. Murray is also the President of the Blackfeet Community College. We had the privilege of visiting about her role in Indian relay horse racing popularity and haw she mixes work with her 2016 HNIRC National Championship Team, Fast Horse Relay.

The PRCA Miss Rodeo North Dakota, Hope Ebel, provides an inspirational interview for Word With A Champ Radio Show on NV1 Radio Network. Hope selected the Horse Nations Indian Relay Councils Memorial Day weekend season opener in Gillette, Wyoming to support the ND Indian relay horse racing teams. Miss Ebel demonstrates much class as a person considering her great attitude heart, intelligence and bonafide cowgirl horsemanship skills. We recognize she absolutely has the capacity to serve our sport as Miss Rodeo America and wish her success at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo this December in Las Vegas.

Defending World Champion Bareback Bronc Rider, Tim O’Connell of Iowa is our guest this week on Word With A Champ. A successful wrestling background has built a foundation for his career performance in possibly the most physically demanding event in professional sports. Tim is a great interview as he shares some of the reasons he is going into the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo #1 in his event in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
