My journey into the sports entertainment business has been life long, both challenging and rewarding. After my first broadcasting class I knew I wanted to be an announcer. For years after each bareback horse I would gather my equipment, ice my elbow, and listen to every word of every announcer all over the United States, Canada and even Australia. Now, I am blessed to announce over 100 performances a year, which I have been doing for over a two decades.

I have produced events in large venues including Professional Rodeo, Bull Riding and Motor Sports. My involvement in production includes everything from sales and marketing to the performances. My perspective on a successful event has depth.

On the home side, my beautiful wife Carmen and I reside in South Dakota with my boys Zachary and Branson, and our girl, Raelynn.  We love the country and the Black Hills. The boys are very active in school and sports activities. It’s an exciting time in our lives and we are blessed.

I like to laugh, live entertainment, sports, and the drama that unfolds during each performance. I believe in capitalism. The sports entertainment world is the epitome of the American way. If we do a good job with sponsors, clowns, and contestants, they advance, we succeed and obtain a return customer and increase ticket sales. When a man or a woman steps into the ring I understand what it took to get them there – the production, practice, miles and “the horsepower.” Every time the gate cracks or the flag drops, its game on, entertaining me making it easy for me to entertain you.

In addition, I am the host for “Word With A Champ” radio show launched July 4, 2011 on national radio network Native Voice One.

Randy Taylor

It was a pleasure to emcee the historical event of crowning, Soni Clifford, as the first American Indian cowgirl for Miss Rodeo South Dakota in 2017.  She is the pride of the Oglala Lakota Nation from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

Pictured L-R MRSD 2016 Mikayla Sich, MRSD 2017 Soni Clifford, my Princess Raelynn, yours truly, my Queen Carmen Taylor and JrMRSD Adrianne Schaunaman. Many thanks to: #4BearsCasino, #JustinBootCo, #4BWebDesign & #Wrangler. Long live Cowgirls! Long live Cowboys! Long live Indians!
