Blackfeet Indian Cowboy from Cutbank, Montana, Dustin Bird is a five time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifying Team Roper. Mr. Bird is a soft spoken individual that has a million dollar smile on his face most of the time, win, loose or draw. He comes by it naturally from being raised in a family and community that are among the best of the Great Horse Nations. Dustin has raised fine horses like the one he so generously loaned to Navajo Erich Rogers that was instrumental to his success winning the 2017 World Title in Las Vegas. We are honored to have such a fierce competitor that is a modest gentleman and inspiration to youth all over the United States and Canada, as our guest on Word With A Champ.

Cherokee bull rider, Ryan Dirteater, has been a formidable contender in the Professional Bull Riders for seven years. An outstanding feat, considering the PBR Built Ford Tough Series, only qualifies the top 35 for the major league tour of the sport. Ryan credits support from family and the Cherokee Nation for his success. We had an opportunity to visit with this cordial, polite, 25 year old athlete, that is in contention to qualify for his 7th PBR World Finals in Las Vegas and vie for a World Title.

A Wyoming cowboy, Dusty Tuckness was elected the 2014 PRCA Bullfighter of the Year. An amazing feat considering the vast number of great bullfighters in the business. Out maneuvering bucking bulls is a dangerous occupation, it takes a spiritually, mentally and physically healthy individual, as Dusty to excel. Tuckness has earned this award the past 5, out of 6 years he has been elected by the top 20 bull riders, to protect them at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Four-time World Champion Sherry Cervi (Marana, AZ) is the winningest barrel racer of all time with more than $2.3 million in career earnings. Cervi has qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and amazing 16 times and won her World Titles in 1995, 1999, 2010 and 2013 recently in Las Vegas. Cervi is on Team Justin Boots and was also an all-conference basketball player in high school. Sherry modestly discusses what lead her to dominate the 55th Annual Wrangler NFR in Ladies Barrel Racing sanctioned by the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association.
