The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo concluded its 320th sold out performance in Las Vegas since 1985, Saturday December 10, 2016. Navajo, Erich Rogers; Blackfeet, Dustin Bird and Lakota, Chuck Schmidt made Indian Country proud by qualifying for the Wrangler NFR in the top 15 of their events. More importantly they are champions outside of the arena. They won a ton of money between them. Our staff at NV1 would like to thank and congratulate our Indian cowboys and their families. We have the final results of the 2016 PRCA, WNFR.

Wrangler National Finals Rodeo December 9, 2016, Las Vegas round 9 of 10 competition and entertainment disappointed no one. It will be the same for the final night with 6 of 7 events plus the All Around Title to come down to the final performance of this years race for the championships. Iowa’s Tim O’Connell is the only contestant to have cinched a PRCA World Championship in Bareback Bronc Riding following round 9. Dustin Bird, Blackfeet is #1 fir the All Around Cowboy, Navajo Erich Rogers is 5th in Team Roping and Lakota Chuck Schmidt is 15th in Saddle Bronc Riding.

Blackfoot Indian cowboy Dustin Bird from Cutbank, Montana moved back into the lead for the All Around Championship of the World in ProRodeo after winning round 8 of 10, team roping at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Navajo, Erich Rogers of Round Rock, Arizona won 3rd in team roping and is sixth in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association standings. Hunk Papa Lakota Chuck Smith from the Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota is yet to place in Las Vegas, yet he could win well over $50,000 in the city of lights in the next two days.

Blackfeet, Dustin Bird is on top of the list again for the All Around Championship of the world after round 7 of 10 rounds at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Navajo, Erich Rogers has moved back up in the team roping world standings. Bull rider Shane Proctor has ridden 7 out of 7 bulls in an effort to ride all 10 and tie the record of only 3 men to ride all 10 bulls at the NFR since 1959. The Wrangler NFR has sold out all 317 performances since it moved to Las Vegas since 1985.

The 316th performance of the 2016 Wrangler National Finals rodeo sold out Tuesday December 6 at the Thomas and Mack Arena as it has done since 1985 in Las Vegas, NV. Dustin Bird, Blackfeet of Montana won enough to move back into the lead for the All Around Championship of the World in the PRCA. Tomorrow will be round 7 of 10 as bull rider Shane Proctor has ridden all his of his bulls in an effort to be only the 4th man in history to ride all 10 at the Wrangler NFR since 1959.

Navajo, Erich Rogers placed in the top 3 for the second night in a row. Blackfeet Indian cowboy from Cutbank, Montana Dustin Bird is in the lead for the All Around Championship of the World in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Navajo, Erich Rogers team roper and Lakota, Chuck Schmidt saddle bronc rider, are battling through the first four of ten rounds at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo that concluded Sunday December 4 in Las Vegas. Ryder Wright of Utah has won the first 4 rounds in saddle bronc riding tying Billy Etbauer’s record.

Saturday night in the city of lights at the Wrangler National Finals rodeo, the big story is 18 year old Ryder Wright has won the first 3 rounds of 10, in the saddle bronc riding. Lakota, Chuck Schmidt is 15th in the bronc riding PRCA Standings. Blackfoot, Dustin Bird is in 3rd; Navajo, Erich Rogers in 10th, both are in striking distance of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Championships Team Roping Header Division. Navajo, Aaron Tsinnijinnie is the defending champ but narrowly missed the Wrangler NFR top 15 finishing 17th in the standings.

Rusty Wright, 18 year old saddle bronc rider has won his first 2 rounds ever against the best in the world and near $60,000.00 bucks in 2 days in Vegas. Blackfoot Dustin Bird won 2nd in the team roping for the second night in a row and is second in the 2016 PRCA World Standings. Navajo Erich Rogers won third in the round and is 9th in the World. Hunk Papa Lakota Chuck Schmidt has bucked off 2 in a row. The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo continues Saturday night in the city of lights with 8 rounds to go and over 10 million to be won.

The first round of 10 performances of the 2016 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada concluded Thursday December 1. Over 10 million dollars in prize money will be earned towards the PRCA World Championships.
